Hi, my name is Spike Steggall, I am a semi-professional footballer and a part-time youth worker at Crown & Manor, and I am fundraising to be able to travel with and support the Kit Share Project in their upcoming trip to Bangladesh in June 2024.
We will be giving old football kits, boots and equipment that have been donated from across the UK to deprived regions of Bangladesh and deliver workshops and training to enhance the coaching provision and establish environments where young people can flourish.
We will also be helping to build a stadium in a village in Bangladesh for the neighbouring communities to use, called the Kit Share Project Arena (KSPA).
Hi, my name is Sam. I am a 16 year old who loves football and my team, Watford FC. Currently I am doing a BTEC in Sports Science and Coaching at Arsenal football club and really enjoy it. My dream is to become a football manager and for me to start off on a path like this, I feel very grateful.
I am fundraising for a trip to Bangladesh with Kit Share Project (https://kitshareproject.com) in May/June 2024. Kit Share Project is important to me because I realise how fortunate I am to have new football kits, boots and equipment but for me to properly understand how lucky I am I want to learn what it's like from less fortunate people, who don't play football with the best boots or the best ball, they play for the love of the beautiful game. I think this experience would open my eyes to appreciate all the stuff I have while also being able to help and provide support to those not as fortunate. Read more
Hi, everyone. Matt here. This time last year, I was packing a bag for a 12-hour flight to Dhaka, Bangladesh. I described my first trip there in 2018 as an experience of a lifetime. Last year’s topped it. This year poses to be more special still.
Before I go any further, I want to thank every single one of you that has been a part of this story. Your curiosity, your encouragement, your belief in the unknown, and your passion for change has made this such an exciting, rewarding journey for all of us. You are making it possible. You have been the heart of it. You are the fibres of what's to come.
Hi, Jake here. Thanks for clicking onto my page!
I have been invited by the Kit Share Project (http://www.kitshareproject.com) to travel to Bangladesh in May 2024 to provide young boys and girls with football kits, boots and equipment. It is a fantastic charity actively trying to help to reduce waste whilst also making football more accessible to those in developing countries. Kit Share Project has been running since 2010 and so far have donated over 2 tonnes of football kit to those in deprived parts of the world. The project believes in spreading the game, not only to share the health benefits, but also to promoted social engagement. Read more..
Syed here! This May I’m embarking on a volunteer trip to Bangladesh with the incredible non-profit organization Kit Share Project founded by my long time friend and esteemed Coach Taff Rahman.
This organization supports local communities in Bangladesh by empowering their youth through sports programs. The goal of the 2024 trip is to build a facility-a home to not only play football but a space where kids can develop life long skills through mentorship and coaching. And provide them access to resources and equipment, build meaningful relationships and learn to work collaboratively. Our goal is to empower the youth of less privileged communities.
Assalamualaikum. I'm Sameen, some call me Sam, I'm definitely not an engineer but I enjoy building things.
What do you do currently?
I am aspiring to become the most athletic architect in the history of mankind.
What do you want to do in the future?
I want to build spaces that play at the subconscious mind and encourage positive behaviours.
Why Kit Share Project?
KSP's long term goal of making an impact on football in Bangladesh through building spaces and building opportunities resonates with me greatly.
What are you looking forward to experiencing?
Scoring goals at the first KSP Arena.
How are you going to use to experience moving forward?
Inspire the next generation of young people.
I’m Walter Wong. I currently coach a university men’s team in Singapore alongside my career in corporate strategy.
I would like to coach in the professional game in the future but I am open minded about opportunities!
KSP is a very meaningful project. It connects people from opposite corners of the globe to each other. And it gives a sense of shared purpose to everyone involved.
I would like to understand the lived experience of people whom I have never met before. And I would like to trade ideas and challenge my own beliefs.
This is part of my continued process of self-discovery and improvement. I would like to be a more well-rounded and empathetic person.
In June 2024, I’ll be pairing up with the Kit Share Project in rural Bangladesh on their journey to support the village of Baronti and their inspiring passion for football.
I first went to support this project in June 2022 and was touched by the local people's creativity, hard work and community spirit.
The Kit Share Project has made phenomenal progress over the last two years. Firstly, we brought over 250kg of quality kits and boots - all thanks to your donations! Then, in 2023, along with distributing more kits and boots, we focussed our attention on an uneven, flooded paddy field, which the kids used as a space to play football. I’m so proud to see it now converted into a safe, levelled pitch with netted goals.
This is an opportunity for you to get involved and have a great impact on such communities.
